Trouble-shooting Guide

Below is a list of common water problems that you may encounter
over the course of the Summer, and some possible solutions
to remedy them. If you are having any of these problems,
and can't correct them yourself, don't hesitate
to call us, or come into our showroom,
and we will be glad to help you.

Green Algae
Shock your pool.
Add Algaecide as needed.

Corrosion of Metal Parts
Test your PH, Alkalinity, and Calcium Hardness.
Adjust these three factors.

Chlorine Odor
Adjust PH.
Shock your pool.

Eye and Skin Irritation
Adjust PH, and Alkalinity.
Shock your pool.

Green Water (Not Algae)
Adjust PH, and Alkalinity.
Treat for possible metals in the water.

Scale Formation
Adjust PH, Alkalinity, and Calcium Hardness.

Colored Water (Brown, Black, Blue-Green)
Check for metals in the water.

Cloudy Water
(Hazy, Cloudy, Lack of sparkle)
Adjust PH and Alkalinity.
Shock Pool.
Check Filter Operation.
Add Clarifier (If needed)
